Online Demos - SIGN UP FOR A LIVE DEMONSTRATION

Find out how SureCount shifts the burden of tedious counting and measuring from you to your computer.  Through an online, interactive demonstration of SureCount, we will introduce you to the program and some of its main features, including:

Calibration

Assign area of measurement in feet and inches or Metric. Click once at the start of your measurement and once at the end of your measurement. Calibrate dialogbox will reopen to save the calibrate setting for this drawing..

Add a Job
Organize drawings, symbols and measurements by job. SureCount creates a folder under the SureCount directory with the Job Name where copies of drawings, symbols and measurements that you create when using SureCount are stored.

Add a Job

Adding a Drawing: SureCount takes advantage of drawings that have been saved PDF, TIF, JPEG and DWG formats for viewing directly on your computer.  This allows easy access to drawings from engineers, architects and online planrooms.

Counting
SureCount offers two ways to count the symbols.  Auto-Count uses the symbol you assigned, compares the pixel arrangement of the symbol to the area selected and using the tolerances set on the Drawing Symbol dialog, marks the symbols that match.  The accuracy of the match depends in large part on the quality of the drawing and the tolerances set.  The electronic form of the drawings, especially scanned ones cannot be as exact as the originals. In some cases it will count symbols that should not be counted and miss some symbols that should be counted. When you use Auto-Count, you will want to visually check the drawing to ensure that all the correct symbols are marked.

The Manual Count function is used both to mark symbols, counting them as you go and to remove marked symbols decrementing the count.  Manual count works as if you had a colored marker in your hand.  You will mark (click on) each symbol on the drawing that represents the item you are counting.  At the same time, SureCount increments the counter in the Object bar for that symbol documenting the total.  If you click a mark on the drawing, it acts like an eraser, removing the mark from the symbol and decrementing the total symbol count at the same time.

Both Auto-Count and Manual Count keep track of the number of marked symbols on the drawing and the total count for the symbol in the Object bar.

Measuring

There are two measuring tools in SureCount: the Branch Measurement and the Feeder Measurement tools.  You define either a Feeder or Branch Measurement ID and then measure distances on your drawing or manually enter the length.  This calculates the length and stores the value for the Measurement ID.  The length also appears in the Object bar next to the Measurement symbol.   You can measure the distance between two points or measure multiple contiguous lengths as in tracking the length of a circuit.

View All Symbol Occurrences

Once Sure Count has scanned a blueprint, the user can view all occurrences of each symbol searched for. At the bottom of the screen will be the images from the blueprint that closely resemble the symbol that was searched for. The user simply clicks on the image to show its exact highlighted location on the blueprint. Should the user wish to not include this particular image find in his or her report, it can be deleted.
